冬の寒さに負けないフィルムカメラユーザーが、いっぱいいます！

 

今週のコラムは、今年1月のお気に入りフィルムカメラスタイルです。


Despite the cold, I'm still seeing a lot of film camera users out there. This week's column features some favorites from January.

 

 

1.
Nikon F2 + Nikkor 50mm F2

「ニコンの王様、ニコンF2」。

発売されていた頃に、カメラ雑誌の宣伝でそう書かれていた気がします。完全にそうですよね、フィルム一眼レフのキングです。

 

The King of Nikons-   at least, I think that's what their F2 ads said.  And I completely agree.  

 

 

2.

Ricoh MF-1

 

リコーの最後のフィルムカメラ、MF-1。理由はよくわかりませんが、あまり知られていないコンパクトカメラです。中古価格はなかなかリーズナブル。

30mm F3.9レンズは少し暗いかもしれませんが、明るい日のスナップにぴったりなカメラです。

 

Ricoh's last film camera- and one that remains somehow both underappreciated AND reasonably priced in 2023. The slow lens might turn some people off but for general snapshots, it's a very nice (albeit quirky) camera indeed.

Konica Hexar AF 35mm F2 & Nikon SB-30 flash

 

バランスが良いコンビ、コニカヘキサーAFとNikon SB-30ストロボ。

この小さなストロボ、最近流行ってますね！


A well balanced setup- a Konica Hexar AF with the Nikon SB-30 flash.  

Tiny flashes are in.

小さなストロボが人気なんです。パナソニックPE-20Sは、小さく安く、携帯に最適なストロボです。

voigtlander Bessaによく合ってる。中古店やメルカリで必ず見つけられると思います。


See? Look at all these little flashes- the Panasonic PE-20S.  Pocketable and dirt-cheap, it's a must-have for your bag.  Seen here on two Bessas: a Bessa R and a Bessa R2m.  Note: Despite the flash in the hand of a third person, they work best on a camera.

Leica MP + Elmarit-M 28mm F2 Asph.

 

この大変きれいなライカMPユーザーは24歳男子です。カメラの世界を長く経験している私にとって、フィルムカメラユーザーの平均年齢は今、30代のような気がします。

「フィルムの世界」はいろいろな理由で厳しくなってしまっていますが、今年こそフィルムを使える機会が増えて、値段が安定して（もしくは下がって……）、これからもフィルム写真を長くエンジョイできるようになってほしいですね。

 

私、頑張るつもりです。


A clean Leica MP with a 28mm Elmarit-M Asph. lens- the best 28mm lens ever made- in the hands of a young man at Zen Foto Gallery in Roppongi.  From my experience, the average age of film users seems to be in the early 30s-  despite availability issues and prices, there remains enthusiasm for film. I hope that the market can adjust to make enjoying film photography easier for us all- It might be wishful thinking on my part but here's to hoping that customer demand can be met and prices stabilizes (lowered?) in 2023.
