The October TCS on PCT feature: A few Rangefinders and two rare Medium Format cameras for your enjoyment.

 

今月の東京フィルムカメラスタイルはレンジファインダーや、少しレアな中判カメラたちが大集結です。

 

1.

Leica M6 + Summilux-M 35mm F1.4 （Ueno）

 

This M6 belongs to a young woman who works at the Leica headquarters in Wetzlar.  Hers is her a “birth year” Leica. Years ago Lemon-sha in Ginza had a list of years and corresponding Leica Models.  Mine would be an M4-2…

 

このライカM6は仕事の関係で来日した、ライカ本社で働いている若い女性のカメラです。ちなみに「誕生日ライカ」です。誕生日ライカとは、生まれ年で作られたカメラのこと。中古カメラ屋さんのひとつ「レモン社」には、生まれ年とライカモデルのリストがありました。買ったことはないですが、私のバースデー・ライカはM4-2なんですよね…。

Leica M6+ Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm F2（Harajuku）

 

Another M6- this one was overhauled by Kanto Camera and customized with a black dot and a different leatherette.  That 40mm Rokkor is a fine little lens!

 

ライカM6は永遠不滅の人気機種。このM6は関東カメラでオーバーホールされていたそうです。赤いロゴマークが黒になっていたり、革を変えていたりと、カスタマイズされたM6です。ミノルタ ロッコール40mmレンズも素敵ですね！

Lomo LC-A 120（Shinjuku）

 

This might be the first LC-A 120 in Tokyo Camera Style history- it looks like someone stretched out a regular LC-A in photoshop.  Bonus fact: The large photograph in the background is from Fukase’s Ravens series. Apparently it was on display in the photographer’s home. Currently it is exhibited at the Place M Readers Club in Shinjuku.

 

東京フィルムカメラスタイル史上初のLomo LC-A 120です。35mmのLC-Aをフォトショップで伸ばしたようにも見えますね、かわいいです。バックグラウンドにあるカラスの写真は深瀬昌久さんのものです。しかも、深瀬さんのお家で飾っていたそうです。現在は新宿にあるPlace M Readers Clubで展示されています。

Fujifilm GA645 Zi Professional（Ebisu）

 

Have not seen an GA645 Zi on the street in years- fantastic medium format point and shoot.

Ebisu in general and the Tokyo Museum of Photographic Art in particular are places you’ll always see people walking around with great cameras.

 

富士フイルムGA645 Zi プロフェッショナルと久しぶりに出会いました。「中判コンパクトカメラ」です。やっぱり恵比寿、特に東京都写真美術館の辺りにはいいカメラを持った人がいますね！

 

5. 

Nikon SP + W-Nikkor C 3.5cm F2.8（Tokyo Station）

 

I’ve never owned an SP, but every single time I see one I kinda want one. Such a great-looking camera- one with a bunch of interesting details including two finders!

 

個人的にはニコンSPを買ったことはありませんが、毎回実物を見るとすこし欲しくなってしまいます。丈夫で見た目がかっこよくて、伝説的なレンジファインダー…。渋すぎる！
