今月のTokyo Film Camera Styleは、カメラタイプの1・2・3！

というのは、ライカ1台、ポラロイド2台、そして小さなクロームカメラ3台を紹介します。

 

This month's  entry for PCT x TCS  (does that make it PCTCS?) goes 1 - 2 - 3 , featuring a rangefinder with my favorite lens, two instant SLRs, and three tiny chrome cameras from the same compact league.

 

さて、

 

First up



1.

Leica M7 + Summicron-M35mm F2 ASPH.

 

六本木で見たライカM7と、四代目であるズミクロン35mm F2レンズ。どっちもいいし、この組み合わせはさらにすごい。ちなみにこのズミクロンは個人的に好きなレンズです。ライカの宝石！


A black chrome Leica M7 with a 35mm f2 Summicron V4 lens. It's always nice to encounter either of these items- even better to see them together. My favorite lens of all time. 

 

 


2. 

Polaroid SX-70（SONAR One Step & ALPHA Sears Special）

 

ポラロイドSX-70との偶然の出会い。ぞれぞれの特徴を挙げると、左はオートフォーカス機能付き、右は鮮やかな赤い皮張り。

ポラロイドフィルムはどんどん質がよくなってきていて、大好きです。まず、ポラロイドはインスタックスフィルム（チェキ）と比べちゃダメ。ポラロイドとインスタックス、それぞれいいからです。ポラロイドフィルムは高いけど、気に入る写真はプライスレス。


Next- an unplanned meeting of two Polaroid SX-70s. The one on the left has sonor-driven autofocus- the one on the right has some snappy red leather.  I have been increasingly impressed with each new batch of Polaroid instant film- the film isn't cheap but I always think that the pictures you can get with them are priceless. 

 

続くカメラは、だいたい同じ時代のモノです。
1980年代や90年代の、機能で溢れているプラスチックのコンパクトカメラと違って、このジェネレーションは、シンプルで渋い。触ると欲しくなるカメラです。

 

The final three cameras are all in a similar class, from a similar time- an era when  compact cameras weren't whiz-bang feature-laden wonders but well-built marvels which did their job manually, and with style. 



 

3-4.

Rollei 35 Tessar（Yushima）& Rollei 35 Tessar（Shinjuku, Den Gai）

 

まずローライ35の2台。湯島天満宮の梅祭りと新宿のギャラリーで出会ったカメラです。


First, two Rollei 35s. One seen in a gallery in Shinjuku and the other at the Plum Festival at Yushima Shrine.

 

 

5. 

Petri Color35

 

最後のカメラは、ペトリColor 35。よく、ドイツ製のローライと比較されるカメラです。

私はぺトリもローライも使ったことがありませんが、ペトリのデザイナーさんが考えた、カメラをコントロールするダイヤルはなかなかいいアイディアだったと思います。


The last camera here is a Petri Color 35. It's a camera that gets compared to its Tessar-equipped, German competitors seen above. I haven't used either the Rollei or Petri, so I can't state anything about a comparison of their lenses or handling. However, I do think that the Petri's dual-dials on the top deck were a nice idea by the designers. 

 

旅でも日常でも、ポケットに入れて持ち運べる、この小さなカメラたちはいいね。ちょっと欲しくなる…！


These pocketable cameras are mini marvels- I think they'd make companions for travel or daily life.
