1月20日は、目黒にあるふげん社で雑誌『写真』（Sha Shin Magazine）の創刊記念レセプションに行ってきました。新しい写真雑誌のイベントで、パーティーに参加したたくさんの皆さんが首からカメラをかけていました。私が会場で見つけた、面白いカメラを紹介します。

 

January 20th was the release party for Sha Shin Magazine at Fugensha in Meguro, Tokyo. Naturally, a photo-magazine event brings together photographers of all types- and most people there had some kind of camera around their necks.  I wasn't able to snap even a fifth of all I saw, but here are some Camera Style highlights.

 

 

1。写真家・元田敬三さんの富士フイルムクラッセ Sを発見しました。元田さんが去年出版した『渚橋からグッドモーニング』（ふげん社刊）の写真はこのカメラで撮ったそうです。まだまだ日記のシリーズを続けていると聞きました。ずっとずっと撮り続けて欲しいです。使い込んでいるカメラ、かっこいいですね。（Review:  https://photoandculture-tokyo.com/contents.php?i=120）

 

Keizo Motoda was there- - his Fugen-sha published book "Good Morning from Nagisa-Bridge" was one of my favorite one of 2021. (My review is herehttps://photoandculture-tokyo.com/contents.php?i=120)  He had his Fujifilm Klasse S with him- as usual it was loaded with Provia. I'm glad to hear he's still shooting his diary project- I was also glad to hear he has three more identical cameras at home, since these are no longer serviced.

 

 

2. キティちゃんカメラスタイル？ すごい！ このカメラでストリートスナップしたら、笑顔の写真しか撮れなさそうですね。そのアプローチもいいかも！ メルカリで調べようかな...


Hello Kitty Camera Style?  Wow.  
This is the first Hello Kitty camera to appear on Tokyo Camera Style- hopefully not the last.  I can't help but think that this would be a great camera for street photography- smiles all around.

 

 

3. 世界の人口は約78億7500万人ですが、間違いなく昨日、ニコンSPと閃光電球フラッシュを使っていたのは、この方だけだと思います。このような出会い、ラッキーでした。

 

There's almost eight-billion people on planet earth but I feel confident in saying that this man was the only one yesterday shooting a Nikon SP with a bulb flash. Maybe the only person this month? The past year? With odds like that, what luck to run into him.

 


4. 私がリコーGRデジタルⅢをポケットから出したら、会場にいた多くの人のポケットからもどんどん他のGRが現れてきました。ものすごく人気があるコンパクトカメラです。「犬も歩けば棒に当たる」ということわざありますが、リコーなら「東京歩けばGRに当たる」ですね。


The most popular camera of the night was undoubtedly the Ricoh GR series. Mine's the oldest- a Ricoh GRDiii from 2011. It's funny- I was introduced to two people from Ricoh- I pulled my GRD from my pocket and they both pulled GRs from theirs. One thing led to another and before you knew it, a few more appeared from the pockets and purses of other attendees.  I see these tiny Ricohs all the time on the streets- they're popular, wonderful little cameras.  

 


5. パーティーで山谷佑介さんと久しぶりに会いました。山谷さんの最新作品が『Sha Shin Magazine』創刊号に載っています。彼の写真集『Rama Lama Ding Dong』を見た瞬間からファンになりました。普段山谷さんはコンタックス T3を使ってますが、この日はiPhoneしか持ってなかったようです。「イッツオッケー！」。革ジャンと髪型がよく似合っていて、カッコよさがハンパないです。


From the moment I saw his "Rama Lama Ding Dong" work, I've been a fan of photographer Yusuke Yamatani. Even though he didn't have his usual Contax T3 last night, he did have his iPhone.  And that cool leather jacket and hairstyle. 

 

 

6. 最後に、この日一番美味しかったカメラはこれでした。 3個食べてしまった（笑）

 

The most delicious cameras of the evening. I ate three.
